An article to promote peace before, during, and after elections unlike how it was in previous years. It urged the winner and loser of the election to accept the outcome with grace to prevent violence. However, the current election is causing violence anyways. As a result to a rumor that President Alpha Conde had been targeted for assassination led to the death of one person, and nine other injured. Security forced intervened on Sunday after youths attacked cars in the coastal capital, Conakry. The people who tried to intervene on the violence ended up getting injured. The last political violence before the pole, which was aimed at completing Guinea's more back to democracy led to the killing of 50 people. Although it would seem like the country would learn from previous experienced, it is evident that they have not, for the violence continues. The only people that can put a stop to this is the people of Equatorial Guinea themselves and a good government.
I think that the violence going on in uncalled for and that there is a better way for the people to express their unhappiness with politics other than violence. Violence is only making it worse. I think that it is good that people are trying to help them realize that in order to have a successful country, the violence needs to stop. It is stupid that after years of unsuccessful violence, they haven't stopped their ways. It's even worse that there have been so many deaths over this. I think that a strong government could really help them get back on the right track.
This article related to political life because disputes over the government is leading to violence, chaos, and death in the country. This article is important to the politics of the country because if the country finally realized that their actions are uncalled for and pointless, and finally get back on the right track, their country would have dramatic change for the better. The whole article is about politics and who it is affecting the country.
